Raffael Heiss is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Communication since November 2014. He studied political science and communication at the University of Innsbruck, the University of Vienna and Fudan University, Shanghai. His research focuses on political communication, media effects and political participation. He worked in the projects FacePolitics: Social Media and Participatory Politics for Adolescents, YAPES (Young Adults' Political Experience Sampling) and PolitikRadar: A Citizen Science Tool for Tracking Political Participation, all funded by the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy. Since October 2016 he is an uni:docs fellow for a period of three years.
