Jara is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna since December 2025. She has joined our research group as research assistant within the project YouCount in July 2022.

Prior to joining AdMe, Jara studied Media and Communication Studies (Bc., 2020) at Charles University in Prague and completed the English-speaking Master's program in Communication Science (MSc, 2022) at our department. In October 2025, she defended her dissertation titled With great power comes great responsibility: Misleading health messaging by social media influencers – Characteristics, effects, and countering strategies with distinction. Her research interests include misinformation, social media, health communication and media literacy.
