Maryam Khaleghipour is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Communication since March 2023. Prior to joining AdMe, Maryam studied Communication at the University of Tehran, where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees.
Maryam is currently involved in the project Digital Hate: Perpetrators, Audiences, and (Dis)Empowered Targets, funded by the European Research Council (ERC), where she particularly focuses on (dis)empowered targets. Her research interests include, among others, media psychology, intersectionality, coping with online hostilities, methodology, and theory.
