Melanie Hirsch is a Senior Scientist in the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna since March 2024. From 2019-2024, she was a predoctoral researcher under the supervision of Jörg Matthes, completing her dissertation with distinction in February 2024.
Prior to joining our research group, Melanie studied translation studies and political science at the University of Innsbruck and communication science at the University of Vienna. Her main research interests include the effects of targeted political advertising, media psychology and social media.
