Furthermore, the article 'Negativität in der Politikberichterstattung: Deutschland, Österreich und die Schweiz im Vergleich', co-authored by Jörg Matthes, appeared in the journal Medien & Kommunikationswissenschaft.

New grant! The Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy will fund our research project YAPES (Young Adults' Political Experience Sampling), starting on December 1, 2014. Designed as a Citizen Science project, YAPES investigates how adolescents experience politics in their everyday lives. The project will be conducted by Jörg Matthes, Desirée Schmuck and Raffael Heiss.

The World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) honored Jörg Matthes for his article 'Do hostile opinion environments harm political participation? Franziska Marquart receives Research Award! The University of Vienna's Department of Communication awarded Franziska the competitive "Research Award 2014" for her proposed project 'The effects of racist stereotypes in anti-racism campaigns on implicit and explicit attitudes'. Florian Arendt has accepted a position at one of the best communication departments in Europe, the Department of Communication Science and Media Research at the LMU Munich, Germany. New team member! We are delighted to welcome Desirée Schmuck within our ranks! Desirée joins our team as an uni:docs fellow. The uni:docs fellowship programme by the University of Vienna selects and funds outstanding doctoral candidates for a period of three years. Desirée has already been an AdME teaching assistant until February 2014. So welcome back and congrats, Desirée!
